PAPERCHAIN HOLDS ITS 4TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN SWEDEN

During this week, 4th general assembly of the paperChain project is being celebrated in Luleå (Sweden), kindly hosted by LTU (Lulea Technical University). A workshop was celebrated during the second part of the day in LTU. GLAD project and #paperChain project exposed their advances, sharing knowledge and good practices developed. Working day was completed with the exhibition of each circular case on roll ups. At the end of the day, the whole paperChain consortium and our colleagues from Swedish GLAD project moved to Malå, preapering the visit to the demo site.

On the second day of the visit, the paperChain consortium together with our colleagues from the Glad project, visited the Näsliden mine (operated and remediated by Boliden) where GLDs have been used as sealing layers for mine remediation. These layers are monitored to see the evolution of their fundamental isolation parameters. The attending partners were fortunate to receive explanations from LTU and Boliden in situ.

To round off, Boliden showed us their headquarters in Sweden and the paperChain consortium had the opportunity to see several more mines, both in operation and already remediated. With this magnificent colophon the fourth general assembly was closed.
